For Nirogyam version 2.3 · Last updated: September 17, 2026
Nirogyam has no advertising or third-party tracking. Your personal routine data is stored on your device. Version 2.3 offers an optional one-time Routine Builder purchase processed by Apple and optional basic usage sharing with PostHog for adult profiles, described below. Optional private iCloud backup sends profiles and practice history to your private iCloud account. You can also choose to export and share your data or a personal summary.
Nirogyam is a personal rhythm companion grounded in Ayurvedic sources. This policy explains what the app stores, which optional Apple services it uses, and the choices available to you. Nirogyam provides educational wellness guidance and is not a medical service.
Depending on the features you use, Nirogyam stores the following locally:
Nirogyam does not require a Nirogyam account. Local app data is removed when you delete the app, subject to iOS behavior. A private iCloud backup, if present, is separate and may remain until you turn that feature off in the app.
Nirogyam can back up profiles and practice history to your private iCloud database using Apple CloudKit. The backup is associated with the iCloud account signed in on your device and counts against that account's iCloud storage quota.
You can turn private backup off in Settings. Nirogyam then asks CloudKit to delete its backup without deleting local data. If iCloud is temporarily unavailable, the deletion remains pending and is retried when the app can reach iCloud again.
For the adult profile belonging to the device owner, Nirogyam may ask separately to read sleep information to help adapt a routine and walking workouts to suggest completed walks. Permission is optional. Core features and manual practice logging work without Health access.
On compatible Apple devices, Nirogyam uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models framework for supported AI features. Prompts and generated responses are processed on the device and are not sent to Anagh Tech or a third-party AI provider. When on-device AI is unavailable, the app uses bundled, grounded fallback guidance.
You can create a human-readable JSON export from Settings. The full JSON export contains profiles, practice history, structured journal entries, any retained program progress, and local wellbeing records including check-ins and manual sleep. It is an archive for your own use; the app does not offer JSON import. It is generated on your device and passed to the iOS share or file interface. Nirogyam does not upload it. You control where the exported file is saved or shared. The Product Research summary is a separate export and is not included in this data export.
Adult profiles can optionally record energy and calmness for a day or a completed practice. Check-ins are private observations, not clinical measurements, and do not change recommendations or Garden growth. They remain on the device, are excluded from device and private iCloud backup, and are not sent to analytics. You can edit or delete an entry. Child profiles do not offer check-ins.
You can preview a PDF or CSV summary of your recorded practice history for the selected profile and period. Check-ins and manual sleep are included only when you choose them. Files are generated locally and shared only through your action. Exported copies can contain personal information and remain wherever you save or send them; app deletion cannot remove those copies.
Starting in version 2.2, Nirogyam automatically keeps a small product-research summary on your device to help evaluate the daily experience. No separate research account is required. The summary contains:
The summary does not contain profile names or identifiers, raw HealthKit samples, journal entries, or AI conversations. It is not included in Nirogyam's private CloudKit backup. Dates, times, and practice counts can reveal usage patterns, so the file should not be treated as anonymous.
Nirogyam does not send this summary to Anagh Tech automatically. Developer builds may expose a separate research export for local testing; this control is hidden in the customer release.
Anagh Tech does not collect Product Research export files automatically. Personal PDF and CSV summaries are separate from this internal research record. Deleting the app does not delete copies you have saved or shared elsewhere.
The core routine, Garden, curated library, on-device guidance and previously verified Routine Builder access work without an internet connection. Network access is used for Routine Builder purchase and restore requests through Apple StoreKit, when private iCloud backup or restore communicates directly with Apple CloudKit, and for PostHog events if you enable optional usage sharing in an analytics-enabled build. Apple services are governed by Apple's own terms and privacy policy.
Routine Builder Sessions 2–21 can be unlocked through a non-consumable, one-time in-app purchase. Apple processes the transaction and provides Nirogyam with a signed entitlement result. Anagh Tech does not receive your payment-card number or Apple Account password. Nirogyam stores the verified entitlement locally so purchased sessions can remain available offline, and rechecks it with StoreKit when network access is available. You can restore the purchase from the purchase sheet or Settings.
Version 2.3 offers an optional “Help improve Nirogyam” switch during adult setup and in Settings → Data & privacy. It is off by default. Declining does not limit app features.
With your choice enabled and an adult profile active, Nirogyam sends basic events to PostHog to help Anagh Tech understand setup completion, feature use, and return visits. Events cover plan setup, main tab selection, practice-screen and guided-session actions, saved completion or Undo, Later/Skip, plan changes, explanation opens, reminder opens, and app activity. They include an event time, app version/build, and a randomly generated device-level analytics identifier. Multiple adult profiles on a device share this identifier. These events are pseudonymous, not fully anonymous.
Events do not include your name, local profile identifiers or type, practice identifiers, assessment results or answers, HealthKit data, check-in values, sleep-derived signals, journals, AI text, notification contents, or advertising identifiers. Nirogyam does not record screens, touches, or sessions automatically. Child-profile and pre-consent activity is excluded and is not saved for later upload.
The app requests that PostHog skip person-profile creation and IP-based location enrichment and sends an empty event IP property. PostHog necessarily receives the network source IP while servicing HTTPS requests. Its cloud infrastructure and processing are also described in PostHog’s privacy policy.
Switching to a child profile pauses collection and cancels pending requests. Turning usage sharing off stops future collection, cancels pending requests, and removes the local analytics identifier; opting in again creates a new one. Events already received by PostHog are not deleted by this switch. Requests are best effort, with no saved offline event queue. Contact Anagh Tech below for questions about previously collected events or deletion; without identifying information we may be unable to associate an event with a particular person.
Nirogyam does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, does not display ads, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not sell or broker personal data. Optional PostHog collection uses the service’s HTTPS API, as described above, independently of the local Product Research summary. The app also uses local system logging and Apple's operating-system diagnostics for development and reliability; Nirogyam does not send profile, journal, HealthKit, or AI content through those logs.
Nirogyam supports child profiles created and managed on the device. It does not create online accounts for children or request a child's email address, phone number, or precise location. AI entry points are suppressed for child profiles, and the device owner's HealthKit data is not applied to them. A parent or guardian should supervise a child's use of the app and the device's iCloud account.
If Nirogyam's data practices change, we will update this page and its last-updated date. Material changes will be reflected in the policy associated with the relevant app release.
